IMG 8713 Washers on either side of the fork mount can be useful for caliper-centering adjustment in the plane of the rotor. IMG 8715 Loosening the mounting bolts for the rotors allows them to be angled enough for the caliper to clear the edge of the rim. Ah ha. IMG 8716 New pads have this much friction material. IMG 8717 We'll call that 6mm. IMG 8718 The pads tend to be more worn on one edge. IMG 8719 Thick end is only about 1mm worn.
IMG 8720 Similar on the other pad. IMG 8721 So, the worn pads theory is not very convincing now, for why the lever travel is excessive. I may try bleeding the brakes off the rotors, where I can reorient them easily. IMG 8722 Not really measuring max wear here, as there are thin bands in line with the cross holes. This is about 1/100th of an inch under minimum (4.5mm) though. IMG 8723 5mm for the new one IMG 8725 Beauty, eh? IMG 8726 Now where can I get a 1" block to put in there while I bleed these? Will probably wind up using the old pads and some wooden construction shims
