IMG 8906 Special bearing driver tools? We call them sockets. IMG 8907 Big one on this side maybe spread force across the part around the bearing hole. IMG 8909 Pusher matches outer diameter of bearing. IMG 8910 Due to bolt availability, we go with a less thick option. A fender washer is fine though. IMG 8911 Out! IMG 8912 Not enough room between opposing sides for the wrench on the inside. We go through. A bit of a challenge to get torque with the short end, but it works.
IMG 8913 Old bearings out. Time for some cleaning. IMG 8914 Found one of the bearings on the floor later. IMG 8915 This looks like machining and doesn't fill one with confidence about the design now does it? IMG 8916 IMG 8917 New on right. IMG 8918 Those built in spacers are UNUSUAL.
IMG 8919 Pretty much perfect match. IMG 8920 Set it in there and get ready for some carefully aligned sockets. IMG 8921 IMG 8922 For nice, steady pressing of parallel parts. IMG 8923 One of them seems a bit notchy (how?) but there's no free play and things are way way better than before. IMG 8924 The upper link. These are relatively new but are not the built-in-spacer type so let's replace 'em too.
IMG 8925 Inner width issues again demand new solutions. IMG 8926 Spacers are everywhere if you look for them. IMG 8927 Good to go.
