IMG 6173 A lot of people hype this taqueria but after trying it I'll say it is merely good. It is however very close. IMG 6175 The nervous system of a set of heated grips. IMG 6176 Hey thanks for the helpful info. IMG 6177 Before. IMG 6178 Just noting where these line up in case I need to remove them. IMG 6179
IMG 6180 This exact same part is on my 20 year older bike. IMG 6181 Not too difficult to remove. IMG 6182 124mm IMG 6183 Same technique as the other side. This was a bit more snug. IMG 6184 Done. IMG 6185 Again, 124mm.
IMG 6186 22mm, or , really, 7/8". Handlebar diameter is one of those things that is stubbornly SAE in a metric world. IMG 6187 This is an unusual size, and that is a problem. Just a bit over 26mm. IMG 6188 Gauge shows how long this grip can be. Time to trim the excess. IMG 6189 Plainly evident it is too long. IMG 6190 X-acto knife was in the house so this was plan B. IMG 6191 Throttle side cut to the right length too.
IMG 6192 Inside diameter of the throttle grip is smaller than the outside diameter of the throttle tube. Something has got to give. IMG 6193 We try sanding the tube down a bit. This rapidly clogs all the sandpaper I had left around from previous tasks. We pause at this point and will try again tomorrow.
