IMG 7939 Which fuses are ones we can use to power the camera? This handy site was very helpful. Way more so than the owner's manual. IMG 7940 Rear camera aux would be great, but it is in the wrong fuse box. IMG 7941 Under the hood. Not going there. But interesting to know. IMG 7942 IMG 7943 GPS wire run through the right pillar trim. Easy. IMG 7944 Rear camera feed wire run through trim. Not that hard either.
IMG 7945 Now we spend time figuring out the fuses. They are easy to get to at least. I like the retaining clips on the screws so they don't get lost. IMG 7947 IMG 7948 We are attempting the first option. IMG 7949 Noted. IMG 7950 What we've got. IMG 7951 Noted. And we will definitely disconnect the battery negative wire and see if that clears up the annoying radio streaming dropouts.
IMG 7952 This image in the manual is really not helpful. IMG 7954 Once under the floor panel you can easily disconnect the negative terminal with one hand and no tools. IMG 7956 Tool required to open floor panel. IMG 7957 F43 looks like it is safe to piggyback off of. Washer pump not that critical. F34 as well. Clearance lights. IMG 7958 I was confused why they give two identical bags of four different connectors, but then I saw that I needed two of the same, so they give you a choice for each connection. Cool. IMG 7959 Might do some testing on these later to see if they are oriented the right way (might need to flip them 180 degrees.)
IMG 7960 Handy ground location right there. IMG 7962 Ready to test. IMG 7963 Huzzah. Works as expected. Ran the power wire through the trim as well. That was a bit non-perfect, due to the size of the van being inches more than the cable allowed for. But it is fine. IMG 7964 Local truth. IMG 7965 Maybe we should take a minute figure out how to set the time. IMG 7967 It is on the radio control. Not bad.
IMG 7969 Had to set the date too. Duh. Same controls.
