Drove down to hide out in the day-use lot. Lots of other people with 10/6 campsite checkout times were down here. This shade was good until about 1:30.
High tide. A few waves flood everyone on the beach.
Toby really wanted Koba to play.
Koba was mostly indifferent.
It was not the best idea to wear these while standing here. They filled up with a LOT of sand.
Even the biggest of those rocks would roll in the rushing water and man did it hurt if they connected with your ankles or shins.
Again.
Very quick today. Super easy to reach via e-bike.
Take out beer for the win. Yes, they will put your cold beer in the same bag as your hot burrito.
Camp chair can be deployed in the van. Good to know.
New shaded spot. Got lucky as there were not many, probably due to the wedding going on in the background.
Toby does earnest very, um, earnestly.
Koba can't wait for some more beach time.
Dumping shore break means Koba picks his moments.
We took a stroll here but didn't stay for the beach. Nice little sandy beaches here but a weird vibe from the crowd.
Steve and Sherri got stuck for a while on Highway 17 in the morning and it just seemed inevitable on a hot Sunday that all beach routes would be a disaster.
Downstairs at home.
Upstairs. Yikes. The AC was able to pull it down in time for sleep though.
Gotta remember to fix this.
It does seem to work OK still though.
564 watt hours used on the whole trip.
That AC vent up there is blowing down where I am standing and it is the only tolerable place in the room at the moment.
This shoe needs a bit of repair after catching the edge of it on the van floor while stepping in.
