  bedroom_plan.jpg - Compare to the dotted lines. Old stair location chops room into two halves that are each just small enough to not be fully useable. New stair opens up a fairly generously sized space. Bath becomes almost 2x as big. Closet space doubles (sq ft floor plan) but becomes even more usable than that with more headspace. Room gets a bed wall and maybe even a TV wall across from it. Ability to enjoy view should (code willing) go up as well. The stairs caused other problems before that will be remedied by this job as well.
