IMG 8395 More of a bounty than expected. IMG 8396 Instructions. IMG 8397 Needed items. [Note internal of seal is full of grease. IMG 8398 New bolts seem like old bolts. IMG 8399 Spacer plate is stuck to the old cylinder. IMG 8401 A bit of careful prying got them apart.
IMG 8402 Some of the old seal welded itself to the shaft. IMG 8403 Confirm the new part matches the spacer. IMG 8405 Clean up. IMG 8407 New crush washers included. The rubber part is very fiddly to get onto the threads. IMG 8408 Had to screw them on by fingertip. IMG 8409 Lined up and ready to be fastened.
IMG 8410 Like so. IMG 8411 Do yourself a favor and use the closed ends so they stay in place while you aren't holding them. IMG 8412 On most other master cylinders this part starts flat and extends as the fluid drops. This one is fixed and barely leaves any room for fluid. IMG 8413 Hard to follow the directions in the manual when the installed part doesn't match. IMG 8415 30 minutes of bleeding later. IMG 8416 About the desired height (top of window).
IMG 8417 The gasket marked #6 looks different in the manual. No way can you fill the reservoir to within 6mm of the top. IMG 8418 IMG 8419 IMG 8422 All done. Much better than before. IMG 8425 That seal is a mess. No wonder it leaked. IMG 8428
IMG 8431 Only 10K miles since the last cylinder was installed. Shameful.
