IMG 9442 We have a whole Saturday available. Let's deal with this first. IMG 9443 Ready to plug as fast as possible. IMG 9444 Not very long. Sharp though. No hissing. Did we get lucky? IMG 9445 It clearly went deeper than the raised tread blocks. IMG 9446 Soapy water liberally applied. No bubbles. Looks like we got lucky. IMG 9449 Let's use some more of Saturday to hit the local nursery.
IMG 9450 One ready made basket and some succulents to make another. One or the other will survive the sun and wind and my lack of watering expertise IMG 9451 May transfer this to one of the black iron baskets, but if it stays like this you won't be able to tell there's a basket under there. IMG 9452 Another purslane. Given how well the big ones do around here this should do OK. IMG 9453 Not sure why this Morning Glory gave up at this. It looks like it made seed pods though. It wasn't the light blue variety I was hoping for so I'm not going to plant 'em. IMG 9454 Time to break up this mess. IMG 9455 What the heck. Will try these too.
IMG 9456 Thought they were one plant at first but no. IMG 9457 They've been rooting with enthusiasm in their little popsicle mold pots. IMG 9458 It took some wrangling just to extract this from the pot. IMG 9459 Good little starter here. IMG 9460 Just a baby. This goes inside with the "bonsai" succulents. IMG 9461 Now to separate and repot the more mature ones.
IMG 9462 Three large and two small out of this is the final score. IMG 9463 Can we make a succulent variety hanging basket? Let's give it a go. IMG 9464 Gently prised apart the individual plants in that 4" pot. Might have a casualty or two to root damage but we might get lucky. We're lucky today, right? IMG 9465 Will split these up and some go in the basket and some will live inside. IMG 9466 These are less entangled. IMG 9467 If this thrives it could be a'ight.
IMG 9468 A man has a notion about having a secondary "office" available in the main bedroom. This table has been under used in the laundry room for years. IMG 9470 Hmm. 30" table top and 31" height are a real challenge for 31" doors and tight space on either side. IMG 9471 Plus railings and light fixtures that narrow that 31" working space even more. At least the books will be getting dusted soon, since I had to move them and notice how dusty they've gotten. IMG 9472 That was the trickiest bend. Almost home free. IMG 9473 You are making a lot of noise here lately, monkey. IMG 9475 And there we have it. That space was just asking for something to do. Chair/table height are a mismatch for a work station but we'll figure something out.
IMG 9476 Koba still not so sure he likes what is going on.
