IMG 6227 How to use 'em. IMG 6228 It was 55 degrees on the ridge top and the low setting was plenty for that. High setting honestly didn't seem as high as the Capo OEM grips, but it was pretty warm. IMG 6231 This is meant to tell you you left the grips on when you turned the bike off, but it could be useful to tell you your regulator rectifier has failed while you are riding. IMG 6233 Just as I was gearing up for the ride the main zipper on the Aerostich decided to do this. I think this is easily fixable. IMG 6234 Purpose of today's ride was to a) shake down the grip with a test and b) warm up the engine to facilitate an oil change. Note the goop clinging to the magnet on the drain plug. IMG 6235 No big metal chunks. Yay?
IMG 6236 I thought I'd compare the once-crushed crush washer that came with the bike to the new ones in the packet. IMG 6238 That's a pretty big thickness difference. IMG 6239 OD doesn't look the same either. IMG 6240 These do not appear to be the exact same part. Thickness comparison is not really useful for what I wanted. Bah. IMG 6241 Filter was not gonna come off by hand. Filter wrench bit into it a bit but got it off. IMG 6242 Felt a thump thump thump thump thump a few times near the end of the ride and thought maybe a rock had gotten caught between the tread blocks. This is definitely a new one for me.
IMG 6243 Look how far this sabre tooth goes down! IMG 6244 Manual calls for 2.7 liters of new goodness. [That's 2.85 quarts in US dollars.] IMG 6245 How kind of them to bag these up and then tape the caps shut. IMG 6246 I mean you wouldn't want the cap to come lose and, oh wait. IMG 6247 Useful to know. IMG 6248 Might want to dribble in tiny bit more next time I'm in the garage.
IMG 6249 Not motorcycle related. Swimming related. These waterproof ear buds match nothing reverse google image search can find. I have no idea what brand these were. They have worked for like 15 years but they don't seal water out of my ears as well as they could. Maybe new designs will work better. IMG 6250
