4 Line up at this end. Stretch them out side by side.
5 Speaking of stretch. The old one is like 5mm longer than it used to be.
6 Once again could only start this by hand and had to stomp on the pedal to lock it fully.
7 New chain starts at 0.25 when it begins to resist.
8 0.50 if you bear down. This is in the expected range.
9 Old chain starts at 0.50 with initial contact.
10 0.75 with a bit of pressure.
11 More than 0.75 if you bear down a bit. This is also about as expected. To the recycle bin!
12 New pad vs old. Old are actually not as worn as I thought they would be. Will keep them around in case urgent need for a set that will last a few rides.
