The spanish word for puzzle more or less translates as broken heads. Eek.
Do we really even need to buy sunscreen? There's always plenty left by other guests.
Nearby house under construction #1.
Nearby house under construction #2.
Every stretch limo drive in Cabo needs to learn for themself what a bad idea it is to serve Pedregal.
Digrammia, says the iPhone.
A little something to tide a traveler over until some lovely airport food.
We score this one as a nearby house undergoing renovation. This was probably the noisiest one until the last day.
How did we do on pre-stocking? Results are wildly skewed by breakfast provisions being eaten for dinner.
Pretty good guess at the water and beer. Could have used a bit more juice this year.
Too much beans and garlic. [And onion and potato.] Good call on the bread.
I suppose having too much whisky is better than not having enough? We should definitely have hit the airport duty free.
Chips we did OK on. Potato chips disappeared first and fast.
Too many limes is sort of unavoidable. And they gave us extra avocados, or there were leftovers.
Nearby house under construction #3. Very close. That big concrete pumper crane was loud and imposing. This shot was while we waited for the ride back to the airport. Tons of laborers were driving in to work in the neighborhood while we sat there.
A thing we never seem to need while we are here.
Our way of life follows us around.
It was fast food.
Watching the comings and goings out the plane window. Was B1 boarding position and was probably around the 75th person to board, but got a window in row 3. Interesting to see the crazy geography of Baja out the window.
Moving. I think the other guys are in some of these planes.
Those landing lights looked like they were pointed right at us for a minute.
We hold just short of the runway waiting our turn.
Faint rainbow under that column of water vapor. The rain in Baja is not replenishing the aquifers as fast as they are being depleted, and development is just constantly increasing. Sounds like California (and everywhere else.) (Yay?)
Killing time in John Wayne. Plane we go to Oakland on is the same one that brought us from Cabo. Two hours of layover is just time to clear customs and recheck bags and go through security again. Customs was the fastest I've ever seen. No line.
Decided to grab a banh mi for the flight. Good call. Didn't have any food ready and waiting for me at home.
Not exceptional but more than passable for airport food.
