IMG 0202 Plotting the short route to lunch. IMG 0204 Drove down to hide out in the day-use lot. Lots of other people with 10/6 campsite checkout times were down here. This shade was good until about 1:30. IMG 0205 High tide. A few waves flood everyone on the beach. IMG 0218 Toby really wanted Koba to play. IMG 0221 Koba was mostly indifferent. IMG 0225 It was not the best idea to wear these while standing here. They filled up with a LOT of sand.
IMG 0228 Even the biggest of those rocks would roll in the rushing water and man did it hurt if they connected with your ankles or shins. IMG 0236 Again. IMG 0237 Very quick today. Super easy to reach via e-bike. IMG 0238 Take out beer for the win. Yes, they will put your cold beer in the same bag as your hot burrito. IMG 0239 Camp chair can be deployed in the van. Good to know. IMG 0240 New shaded spot. Got lucky as there were not many, probably due to the wedding going on in the background.
IMG 0241 Toby does earnest very, um, earnestly. IMG 0243 Koba can't wait for some more beach time. IMG 0247 Dumping shore break means Koba picks his moments. IMG 0255 We took a stroll here but didn't stay for the beach. Nice little sandy beaches here but a weird vibe from the crowd. IMG 0258 Steve and Sherri got stuck for a while on Highway 17 in the morning and it just seemed inevitable on a hot Sunday that all beach routes would be a disaster. IMG 0259 Downstairs at home.
IMG 0262 Upstairs. Yikes. The AC was able to pull it down in time for sleep though. IMG 0263 Gotta remember to fix this. IMG 0264 It does seem to work OK still though. IMG 0266 564 watt hours used on the whole trip. IMG 0269 That AC vent up there is blowing down where I am standing and it is the only tolerable place in the room at the moment. IMG 0270 This shoe needs a bit of repair after catching the edge of it on the van floor while stepping in.
