Sunset was 6:31 and here at 7:08 it isn't dark enough for the comet to show, even with the camera.
Now 7:15, almost 45 minutes after Sunset and a faint hint of it is appearing.
Now it is pretty clear. Just about half way between Venus (brightest dot lower left of center) and Bootes (brightest do on the right up near the redwood branches)

7:28 PM and astronomical twilight has begun. This is one of my favorites.
Zoom in!
A bit darker sky exposure makes the tail pop.

Venus occulted by a Chinese Elm leaf.

Another of my faves. The comet is going to be fighting more light pollution as it drops into The City.

Flights in and out of SFO and OAK make guest appearances.
Almost exiting twilight and heading into plain old night. Comet impossible to spot by naked eye again. Camera can still get it but peak show is over.
