This place is crowded even in late October. Wait wasn't too long though.
Still nice but you can feel the weather is changing.

Under the canopy sheltering from the rain.
Snug boi.
Clouds moving in.
Dang raccoon is persistent.
Breakfast again.
Total logs chopped by Alan: 1
OK
We check out the shady spot on the south end of the beach.
People were staking this spot out to sit and watch.

We check out the north end of the beach. Sandy but not much dry ground at high tide.
Left shoe got overrun by a wave moving faster than expected.
Asking apple maps for directions to this place will send you to a similarly named spot near Mono Lake.

I already had cake. Nice to have options though.

Chicken fried steak.
Huevos I think.
Travel the world and try all the benedicts.
Cake sized pancakes.
Clean plate again.
Never have I wanted to touch something so much.
Nothing exceeds like excess.
Headlands trails.
Stairs to the beach not too sketch.

A very photographed arch.

Looked these up later and apparently they would tie lines to these from ships in the water and use them to move cargo. Given the churning water and the rocks that seems sort of crazy but OK historical people.

Marine layer and fog have moved in.
Out.

Bit the stick in half.
Sun fighting to get through. Don't forget sunscreen on days like this, kids!
Long dog, is long.
Mleh.
Alan wishes he had a fat bike.
The log did OK as a table but was a bit high risk for spillage. This picture reminded me to order a little camp table already.
Are those berries edible?
This is not a thing I'd ever heard of. "Edible but less palatable than proper strawberries." I did not try myself.
Dusty doggo.
Did we all get this? No, just 3 out of 4.
Catch of the day was Black Cod. It was very tender and good.

The apple dessert that Alan had been waiting for since yesterday.
Will need to remember this place. No Michelin stars but nicer than Pattersons Pub.
A descendant of Prometheus.
Fire o'clock.
We got about 10 minutes of this before the rain moved in.

8'x12' canopy saves the day. Everyone stayed dry while we enjoyed a campfire.
