Supposed to check out in two hours and go get the van and then drive home and it is snowing, and it is accumulating!
5 minutes to check out time and the sun finally comes out.
Somehow the plan came off and the bike was ridden to and from the hotel.
Van updates!
Your first sign from outside that something has changed.
Burning man fodder?
Truckee is around 5900 feet. The pass at the top of I-80 is about 7400 feet. Even though it stopped snowing in Truckee and nothing accumulated there, does not mean the pucker factor is gone yet.
Attempt to photograph the large Donner Pass sign on right thwarted by large truck in the way.
Downgrade will get us out of this high elevation quick.

Stopped for gas, coffee and lunch in Auburn. This place will probably not get a return visit.
They hooked up the power. This is convenient.
One wonders how long it will be before this van is parked in a full hookup site with hot and cold water.
First thing you learn is not to trap the end of this wire with the fridge slider.
Don't raise and lock the side table while the fridge slider is pulled out.
What is that chain supposed to attach to? [Maybe they bought the sink drain from a marine supply company??]
The galley is new. The dog crate is gonna get replaced by something that doesn't take up like a quarter of the usable floor space all the time.
Those two loose hose connectors rattled and rolled like crazy while driving home.
Nice big window for what I will now refer to as first-class seating.
November 2021. Long enough for that sticker to dry onto the window.
Now we have freed the wire we get to see the side table deployed.
Nice hour to walk the doggo.
A bit of research so I can talk to the vet dentist about which of his teeth seems to have the problem (P2 or P3)
